The Care Leaver Covenant's Inclusive Employment Toolkit is a practical guide designed to help employers engage, recruit and support care leavers in the workplace. Developed using research with care-experienced young people and organisations across the public, private and voluntary sectors, it provides employers with the knowledge and tools needed to create more inclusive employment opportunities.

The toolkit covers the full employment journey, from identifying and reaching care leavers in local communities and supporting them through the application process, to effective onboarding and long-term workplace support. It offers practical advice to help organisations access an often-overlooked talent pool while building a more diverse and inclusive workforce.

The resource is accompanied by an Employment Guidance FAQ document, produced in partnership with the Department for Education, the Local Government Association, and law firm Trowers and Hamlins LLP, which helps employers understand how to support care leavers within the framework of employment law.
